Small Changes – Big Impacts – Linen Tracker

With us all seeing costs rising exponentially over the past few months we need to ensure we can continue to offer out guests the best value for money. One major cost to us as a business is the control of Linen and we have recently launched a tracker across the managed estate that enables us to tightly control our linen costs against our monthly invoices with a strong emphasis on managing reject linen, shortages and gauging our par stock to ensure our working capital is kept to a minimum in each of the hotels.

Several hotels have identified savings since using this tool and it enables our housekeeping teams to have a tighter control on managing one of our biggest costs. With costs being a real focus for any business we will also be providing our hotel managers with tools to manage other major costs such as utilities and payroll.


There is real value in being able to measure what we manage, and it is crucial that our hotel teams are given the support tools to be able to control costs more systematically whilst not taking them away from the valuable task of driving guest preference and engaging with our team members.
