Hitting the news towards the end of May was a story about two new refinancing deals secured by our finance team to fund our low-carbon works and some of our new hotel construction projects! The first is the refinancing of a £42.5m loan from Santander UK, an increase of £7.5m on the previous refinancing loan with Santander UK. The funds are going towards the low-carbon works taking place across the UK, including the installation of heat pumps, smart meters, and the refurbishment of our Glasgow hotel.
The second refinancing deal is with French bank BRED Banque Populaire, which is to go towards the funding of our new easyHotel Marseille, due to open later this year.
News of the refinancing was covered in consumer titles such as The Times and The Sun, as well as by many trade publications including Business Immo and Hotel Owner. The coverage is a great way for us to show our industry that we have the solid finances to fund future growth through new hotels and low-carbon investments.
