New Lone Worker Device Introduced in UK Owned properties

After a successful trial at Croydon, we are happy to be rolling out a new lone worker device to all UK owned hotels. The new device, the Oysta Badge is a two-way voice communication tool that has many functions. The device puts the wearer in direct contact with a 24/7 monitoring station who are able to keep in touch with the hotel teams and summon the emergency services if required.

The device also incorporates an SOS button function which includes a blue light response from the local police if deemed necessary. The Oysta badge is able to detect if the wearer has had a fall and will summon the emergency services to the hotel for assistance as well as alerting the Hotel Manager and following the hotels escalation policy.

In addition to the badge, a panic button will also be installed at every reception for immediate assistance if needed.

Feedback from the Croydon team was very positive. The team said the device made them feel safer whilst alone in the hotel, and that the response times to any issues were really good! We’re looking forward to rolling this out across the UK owned hotels and believe this will be an important step in improving the safety and confidence of our lone workers.
