easyHotel participates in the Global Revenue Forum, in London 23rd Jan
The Global Revenue Forum is an industry wide conference, aimed at uniting hotel Revenue Management and Digital professionals, taking a steer from the leaders in the sector and drawing on their experience to help delegates build their strategies for the year ahead. easyHotel Group Commercial Director Nick Moffatt was invited to join as a speaker at the Global Revenue Forum which was held on 23rd January in London. Seen here on stage discussing the topic of automation of tasks across reservations, distribution, and revenue management. He was joined by Rajesh Vohra (Director at Sarova Hotels), Brendan May (Founder of Hotel Res Bot) and Alexander Edström (CEO at Atomize) a very experienced panel representing both the hotelier and the tech company. It was a fully packed session with delegates attending in person, but the conference was also live streamed to Milan and Stockholm.
Nick led the discussions on how far should automation go for businesses, what does this mean for the Revenue Manager, is total automation the ultimate goal and what developments can hoteliers expect to see in the future? There was a lively debate, with lots of different points of view both from the panel and the audience. The positive news for our business is the panel all agreed that increased automation will increase RevPAR, whilst retaining strong Revenue Management talent to oversee the systems and support progress. In other words, our valued Revenue team can affect even more elements to drive higher RevPAR as systems and tech develop in the future.
Commenting after the event Nick said “I was delighted to represent easyHotel in such a high profile industry event. The mere fact that easyHotel was invited to be part of these discussions is a testament to how far easyHotel has come in the eyes of the hospitality industry. To put it bluntly, we are one of a few growing hotel businesses in a tough market and everyone now wants to know what easyHotel thinks on key subjects such as driving RevPAR”
