easyHotel Showcases New Standards in Low-Carbon Hospitality with the French Media

This summer, easyHotel CEO Karim Malak and Chief Development Officer Gwenaëlle Pouy met with French journalists to highlight our latest developments and low-carbon initiatives. Held at our Paris Nord Aubervilliers location, the event showcased how easyHotel is leading in sustainable, affordable travel.

Karim and Gwenaëlle emphasised that our low-carbon approach benefits both the planet and our guests by reducing costs. This strategy is driving our expansion across Europe, with new hotels to open soon in Marseille, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Madrid and Geneva. The press were updated on our new low-carbon room design, which emits 39% less CO2 over a 50-year lifecycle vs the competition as well as our €7 million investment in low carbon works taking place across our older hotels.

Following the event, we've already seen coverage land in Le Figaro, a large French national newspaper as well as a trade title and we expect La Tribune, another large French national will be covering it soon. Getting coverage in large titles is very important to us as it helps get more people booking with easyHotel but also aids us in growing our pipeline of new hotels as more developers, franchises, investors and those looking to sell hotels become aware of our great value brand with low-carbon credentials.
