EasyHotel prides itself on giving our guests a great night's sleep and who better to provide our mattresses than one of the most iconic brands “Silent Night”. When staying in any of our UK hotels you will be either sleeping on a Silent night performance support mattress or a Hypnos mattress.
Despite both mattresses being rigorously tested to withstand the test of time, we also put the mattresses through our own test at our Shoreditch hotel and the feedback for the mattresses chosen won hands down in comparison to other mattresses in the running.
Not only have we kitted out the entire estate with mattresses but we have also delivered new quilts, pillows, mattress protectors and pillow protectors to all sites as they incorporate our new bedding standard in our brand promise to give our guests the best night sleep.
In line with our ambitions to become a low carbon company, all of our mattresses were disposed of sustainably and Silentnight are now the world’s first & only sleep brand to commit to the SBTi (Science based targets initiative). This means that they are committed to decarbonisation intentions, in collaboration with the UN global compact, the World Resource Institute and the WWF, so a great company to be partnering with going forward.
Our Franchised hotels are equally committed to giving our guests a great night’s sleep and we have conducted an audit across all hotels to establish the current situation regarding age, condition and manufacturer of the mattresses currently in use. Our requirement going forward is to also have a minimum of 4* hotel quality mattresses across the franchised estate. Silentnight, have agreed to extend their deal to franchisees in those countries where they are practically able to supply, failing which, the requirement will be to use near-equivalent products sourced locally with an equal focus on environmental responsibility in line with our low carbon ambitions.
We are currently working with Silent Night to launch a scheme to allow employees to purchase mattresses at the same discount available to us as a business. More details on how to take advantage of the scheme to follow!
