After a break of over 18 months we are finally making a welcome to return to face to face training with in person Company Induction and Customer Service launching this month.
Vickie Cridland, our Learning & Development Manager is now running regular sessions at the London Support Office and at the Sheffield Hotel and has already trained 25 people this month.
The new Company Induction provides background to the company and brand and will ensure that all new starters are given a consistent overview during their first few months of employment. This session is aimed at all new starters, whether operations or Support Office and will be run monthly in the Office and in Sheffield. Line Managers should contact Vickie directly to book new starters onto a session. Our new Customer Service training is linked directly with our very first easyHotel Brand Bible (further updates on this in the coming months) and focuses on Hospitality and how to bring the ‘City is Yours’ to life for every guest, making their stay easy as possible (pun intended)! While at the same time empowering our Team Members to deal with challenging guests and make every stay special.
We continue to run Emergency First Aid at Work 1 day training sessions in house, delivered by our First Aid trainer, Vicky Pizer and have recently opened these sessions to our Franchise colleagues. Vicky has delivered 9 training sessions across many of the hotels and has passed 45 Certified First Aiders already this year. Vicky will be holding more training sessions predominately for staff at Birmingham and Glasgow in the next 6 weeks. Vicky will then be arranging training sessions in the North & South which will be booked on a first come, first served basis, further details and dates to follow.
Stepping Stones has weathered the ride through COVID, with workshops having been adapted for online. We have seen a variety of topics taught such as: coaching, communication, problem solving, leadership and much, much more.
Our current Stepping Stones Cohort of 6 people will be coming together for their Graduation at the end of April. Delegates from both France & the UK will be showcasing everything they have learnt over the past 6 months. We will then be looking for our next wave of Stepping Stones candidates, so keep any eye out on Franchisees for the next application date. If you think you have what it takes, get applying!
