Assistant Hotel Manager Promotions 🎉

We are thrilled to share some exciting news: our hotels in Marseille, Leeds and Amsterdam City Centre have welcomed new Assistant Hotel Managers! Jules Desmulier in Marseille, Mukesh Patel in Leeds and Ignacio Dostal Freire in Amsterdam City Centre have all been promoted from team members to Assistant Hotel Managers, effective at the start of September.

They have developed themselves during their time at easyHotel and are ready to take on a new challenge. Congratulations to them all!

Jules Desmulier - Assistant Manager @ easyHotel Marseille

"I joined easyHotel on April 20, 2023, as a rotating receptionist as part of a career change. Previously, I worked in a Parisian bakery, but I was eager to take on new challenges. Youssef, the director of easyHotel Paris Nord Aubervilliers, and his Assistant Manager Juliette gave me the opportunity to start a new career in hospitality, and I successfully handled the various tasks that were assigned to me. In the summer of 2023, I began several internal training sessions on Youssef’s advice, with Juliette’s support, to prepare for a potential promotion to Senior Receptionist.

In December of the same year, following Juliette’s departure, I received my first promotion to Senior. While my primary responsibilities remained those of the reception, I also took on managing the team, handling group bookings, recruiting new employees, and implementing internal procedures. This experience was incredibly rewarding and reinforced my desire to continue my journey in the hospitality industry and, more specifically, to keep growing within easyHotel. Alongside my duties, I continued training under Youssef to become an Assistant Manager. I achieved my goals and demonstrated that I was ready for the role, which is why easyHotel has once again given me the opportunity to advance, this time on an exciting new project: the opening of our new hotel in Marseille, easyHotel Marseille Euromed, as Assistant Manager, working alongside Yannis, the hotel’s director.

Regarding my interests, I am passionate about football, with a particular affinity for Paris Saint-Germain. I also enjoy boxing and ice hockey. Additionally, I am a fan of cinema and series, exploring various genres. In addition, I regularly play poker in clubs and dedicate part of my free time to improving my skills and studying the strategies related to the game."

Ignacio Dostal Freire @ easyHotel Amsterdam City Centre

"Please meet Ignacio Dostal Freire! Recently he is promoted to Junior AHM of Amsterdam City Centre. He started in March this year as a receptionist in Amsterdam Arena Boulevard and is already showing great potential and professionalism. We are very proud to show him off!

Besides loving his work, he also loves spending time socializing and he is a sportsfanatic - and he used to play Rugby in the past. A healthy lifestyle is important for him, but enjoying life is as well. So when lucky, he won't ignore a slice of pizza, shared during a break of a long workday."

Mukesh Patel - Assistant Manager @ easyHotel Leeds

"My name is Mukesh Patel, when I first walked through the easyHotel Leeds  I was filled with a mixture of excitement and nervous anticipation. Starting as a team member, I knew that this was just the beginning of a journey that would challenge and shape me in ways I could hardly imagine at that time. Today, as I hold the position of Assistant Manager, I reflect on the valuable lessons and experiences that have paved the way for my growth and development.

In my initial role as a team member, I was eager to prove myself. The responsibility were straightforward, but they were the foundation of everything I would learn. I quickly learned that attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team were essential skills in any role.

As I gained more experience, I began to take on more responsibility and complex tasks. I found myself naturally gravitating towards leadership roles, even before I officially became an assistant manager. Whether it was mentoring new team members or taking the lead, I realized that I had a passion for helping others succeed. But my journey will not be complete without active support, guidance mentoring by Manager Alwyn Dantis. He provided motivation and the expectation support to grew with easyHotel, I’m very thankful to my Manager Alwyn for all these support to reach me on my dream job be a assistant manager.

As I look to the future ,I’m excited about the possibility that lie ahead. My journey from a team member to an Assistant Manager has been filled with challenges, and personal growth. I have developed a deep appreciation for the importance of leadership, teamwork, and continuous learning. These are the pillars that have supported my journey so far, and they will continue to guide me as I strive to make a meaningful impact in my role and within the company."
